File management program and converter
PDF Converter is a software for viewing, editing, and converting PDF files developed by GIRDAC.
What to expect
GIRDAC’s converter has many features that users won’t easily find in other programs. Not only does it convert PDF to Word, but also supports many languages, and is able to convert more than one file at a time, as well as extracting images from documents. Users can convert their files to .TXT, .DOC, and .DOCX.
You can modify simple PDF properties, such as reducing the file size, add or remove passwords, add bookmarks, and delete, insert, and rotate pages. It’s also possible to merge PDF files into one.
PDF Converter also supports Excel and HTML. Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader are not needed to be installed, unlike with many other converters. You are also able to easily edit the files, and copy & paste plain text that can be formatted.
Is it free?
PDF Converter is not free, but it does have a free trial. However, there are very few converters that give you the number of features that PDF Converter does. With the free trial, you will still be able to enjoy some of the features. The pricing is fair and affordable, with no extra fees to unlock or install anything afterward.
System requirements
In order to run PDF Converter, you need to have Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or Windows XP or Vista. It can run on older operating systems, but most of the advanced features are on Windows 10.
Our take
This is a good program for converting and managing PDF files of any kind. Though it does have a few problems, such as the interface being clunky at times and users reporting that they sometimes have issues uninstalling the program from their computer.
Overall, it’s a reliable program, and the pricing is fair for what it’s capable of.
Should you download it?
Yes. Unlike most converters, GIRDAC’s PDF converter has very many features that you won’t be able to find with most other file converters. It’s secure and reliable.
