Tampermonkey is a browser extension used to manage your webpage user scripts. You can install it on Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera Next. With Tampermonkey, you get a clear overview of all running scripts, ZIP-based imports and exports, and built-in editor. It also checks updates, browsers, and cloud storage.

How does Tampermonkey work?

Download Tampermonkey from the Tampermonkey website or any safe website. The app itself is safe to use. Tampermonkey doesn’t need much space and is straightforward to install. Its primary benefit is enabling user scripts to be selected and ratified; you can also disable or enable scripts in two clicks. Programmers working on large projects can save time searching for bugs when they use Tampermonkey. The software is free, but you need a license key to use it.

You can also adjust your settings to allow you to import or export lines of text. Tampermonkey is excellent for streamlining and has powerful modification tools for user scripts. Tools like Scriptish and Greasemonkey also support the tags. You can see which scripts are running and when they will run again. Choose from three settings levels, like Novice, Beginner, and Advanced. The Advanced mode allows you to hide options you rarely use. You can also set a reminder for how often you would like to check scripts for updates.

Tampermonkey features

Tampermonkey has some fantastic and helpful features that you can use, like:

  • It has a built-in editor that lets you develop and edit scripts
  • You can synchronize your script to use it on more than one browser
  • Use Tampermonkey to check for system errors

These features can help you manage your browser’s user scripts better.

If you are not happy with Tampermonkey, you can use Greasemonkey or Violentmonkey.
