Where can you run this program?

Work with the app on any Android and iOS device to have a translator on the go. But if you’re dealing with long documents, you can access this on a desktop instead.

Is there a better alternative?

TripLingo works as a substitute for this app. This is also a good resource for culture guides that can be handy during travel. Plus, the app has a Wi-Fi dialer you can use to make free international calls.

Our take

Google is a reputable site with admirable values. Their projects reflect that. It’s good for getting the general idea of a sentence, but it still has a long way to go in terms of accuracy. It isn’t the be-all and end-all as far as translations go.

Should you download it?

Yes. With the app, you can understand other languages without spending hours trying to master them. Transcend limitations with Google Translate.
