Train with Thor
The last thing you need on your phone is yet another fitness app – right? Centr the new health and fitness app by Thor legend Chris Hemsworth is truly one-of-a-kind. Centr, by Chris Hemsworth stands apart from the competition because it is the full package. You get a team of fitness experts, healthy recipes and guided meditations. There you have it: strength, health and mind all in one app. It comes at a hefty price however – is it worth the plunge?
The app will unlock hundreds of daily workout videos, recipes and podcast meditations.
The all-in-one app for body and mindNow the last thing any of us need is yet another app claiming to get you that “guaranteed six pack”. Anyway, with infinite free workout videos on YouTube why would you pay for an app?
There are advantages to paid apps and Centr, by Chris Hemsworth is a shining example. Once you download Centr (and you do have the option to feel the water with a 7-day free trial) you get much more than just a video tutorial. At its core, the app is a weekly program tailored for you. You choose your training level (beginner, intermediate or advanced) any dietary requirements.
Use the app to plan healthy meals and motivate yourself by adding daily workouts to your weekly schedule. Sign up for the blog to get inspiring articles about mindfulness and how to get better sleep. This review may sound like it was paid for by Chris Hemsworth but no – it is just that good.
There are flaws however. Unless you are happy to do a workout using your phone or laptop screen the only way to get it on your TV is if you have Google Chromecast. There is no option to create a list of favorites. Nor does it take into account your current state of fitness – so do be cautious which workout you attempt. Also, if you were hoping for more one-on-one time with the Hollywood actor himself prepare for disappointment. Chris Hemsworth features mostly in the blog and the programs are led by his team.
Where can you run this program?
Centr is available through its web portal at centr.com or you can download the app. The mobile version is available for Android and Ios smartphones. The latest version Centr 1.8.0 requires Android 6.0 and up. If you want to download the app onto your iPhone you will need at least Ios 11.4 and for your Apple watch, 4.1 and up. The app is comptabile with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Is there a better alternative?
