WifiNanScan is a free Android app developed by Google. It is designed as a research, demonstration, and testing tool for developers, vendors, universities, and more. The app allows users to measure the distance between two smartphones using the Wi-Fi Aware protocol, with a precision of about 1 meter. The phones can be up to 15 meters apart.
With WifiNanScan, developers can enable the development of peer-to-peer ranging and data transfer, as well as create find my phone and context-aware applications based on the Wi-Fi Aware/NAN API. It serves as a valuable tool for developing and testing applications that utilize the Wi-Fi API.
Please note that in order to use this application, your phone must support the Wi-Fi RTT protocol.
