The world

Total War: WARHAMMER III takes place within the Warhammer universe, a fantasy setting unlike other Total War games. The world tells the tale of nations in the Realm of Chaos and the inevitability of war.

There are six different factions to pick from when starting a campaign. The selection includes four from the forces of the chaos gods: Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khorne, and Tzeentch. There are also two other factions you can pick from that include the Grand Cathy and the Kislev.

Strategic gameplay

The Total War series is known for its strategic gameplay where you slowly build nations. From the battles to politics, every action you take matters. 

However, the most strategic part of the game relies on units you purchased and sent into battle. For example, you can send your army to attack a nearby patrol of enemy units. Buying the right units is an essential part of any battle.

Total War: WARHAMMER III is another Warhammer game in the saga of Total War: WARHAMMER. This title offers many improvements to the gameplay established in the previous two games. One of the most noticeable improvements is the visuals, as the game features gorgeous scenery and detailed models.

However, if you’ve recently played the previous games you won’t notice many differences during battles. Most of the gameplay feels similar, from picking a faction to organizing and controlling your army.

As the next in line in this saga, after Total War: WARHAMMER II, the game offers a variety of new factions to play as with unique mechanics.
