However, while there is a constant stream of content, this approach doesn't work well with all genres, leading to a never-ending stream of cliffhangers.

Quibi isn't a free service, but it does come with a no-cost trial. Afterward, several plans are available in the offer, although the cheaper ones still include ads. There are no account profiles either.

Apart from the ads though,  user experience is well-designed. It features easy-to-navigate buttons abd an attractive dark theme to help you find what you want to watch.

The content you can watch is plentiful, from BBC News to the Weather Channel and ESPN. You'll also find lifestyle content and many other shows.

Quibi requires iOS 11.0 or later. It also runs on Android devices versions 7.1 and above.

Is there a better alternative?

No, at least not in 10 minutes or less. Depending on your preferences, though, you can find short, original content on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll, too.

Our take

All in all, Quibi is an innovative and ambitious project. The service does need some polishing though if it wants to continue competing with big industry names.

Should you download it?

Yes. If you’d like to watch brief episodes, Quibi is worth the download - at least for the free trial.
