X-VPN is a VPN that lets you browse with protection for up to 500 MBs for free before you need to purchase a subscription. It promises fast browsing with nine different protocols and 500 servers all over the world.

Keep prying eyes away

Protecting your browsing connection is one of the most important actions to take in this tech age.

One of the main problems with the free version is its severely limited abilities. You only have a few servers available and 500 MB of data. The premium trial session only lasts for seven days, while ExpressVPN offers three months for free.

Unfortunately, the connection is quite poor. At random times, it will refuse to connect, disconnect after a short period of use, or spend a minute loading before it gets started. They have nine protocols, but they don’t display what they do, showing the poor design elements.

They do allow access to Netflix, but unlike NordVPN, you won’t be able to get on to Hulu. You can also do torrenting; however, you need to be careful as their security protocols are not clearly defined.

Where can you run this program?

You can use it on Android 4.1 and onwards.

Is there a better alternative?

Yes, NordVPN is a better application. It gives excellent value for the lower price while offering high-speed connectivity all around the world. ExpressVPN is another great VPN with its superior security and intuitive user interface.

Our take

There isn’t much about X-VPN that makes it worth downloading. The lack of transparency with protocols and slow connection speeds make it a rather insecure VPN.

Should you download it?

No. There are much better options available for a powerful VPN.
