ResQ Button is a free Android lifestyle application developed by Beckon Technologies Inc. that allows users to set up and use cloud-backed panic button hardware. The app comes with a small, less than 1-inch wearable IoT device that can be clipped onto clothing or attached to a keychain or bracelet. In an emergency, users can press and hold the logo on the device for three seconds to start broadcasting their distress signal.

Any ResQ Button App within a 30-meter radius will pick up and forward the signal to cloud servers, which will notify up to six emergency contacts via SMS and push notifications. Additionally, if the police number for the user's jurisdiction is available, an SMS with the incident location link is sent. Users can also choose to notify other ResQ Button App users near them to come and help, ensuring a faster response time.

The app also features "My Safe Place," which allows users to configure up to three family and friends to receive automatic notifications when their phone enters or leaves a configured Wi-Fi network or location identifier. This feature eliminates the need for SMS or phone calls when a user reaches a place safely. Overall, ResQ Button is a reliable and useful tool for emergency situations.
