Project Battlefront is a free-to-use game utility developed by user Lee87 for the action shooter Star Wars Battlefront II. In this custom mod, you get to experience three new worlds familiar to fans of the franchise. Each of them carries its own campaign, environment, units, and vehicles—clearly making every Star Wars planet a unique gaming experience for you and your friends. Using new characters and set designs consistent with the base game makes Project Battlefront a must-have addition for fans.

Players of the vanilla game are aware that its campaign is set between the Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens films. With Project Battlefront, you get to experience planets featured in other properties of the franchise. Scarif is a tropical planet from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story while Lothal is from the animated series Star Wars Rebels. Similarly, the desert planet Jakku is from The Force Awakens. Building up from these fan-favorite locations, the game then puts you in the shoes of a Stormtrooper tasked with accomplishing very distinct yet equally immersive missions. The developer of the mod turns the class-based gameplay system on its head with the introduction of new characters. Whether you master your chosen Stormtrooper type or enlist your friends to help you, the game gives a worthy challenge. Another feature you can’t miss is the 60 vs 60 battle on the sands of Jakku, making you a part of a huge battle. Of course, as a user-made add-on, there are still minor movement and animation glitches, especially when interacting with custom content such as new passageways and vehicles. Also, there are instances when switching to characters inexplicably turns the music off.
