Death awaits you
Hitman 3 is bringing this series to a close with a perfectly silenced pop. You can play in old-school third-person or opt for fantastic VR visuals. Either way, you’re in for a lethal treat.
The final assassinations
Hitman 3 is the final chapter in the assassination trilogy from IOI, and it’s a spectacular conclusion to these games.
Playing Hitman 3 is a bittersweet experience. As much as you love every turn, tale, and twist, you also know it’s the last time you’ll get to hand out a few well-placed headshots. Every assassination just brings you closer to the inevitable end, but the journey is one you’ll likely never forget.
One of its best features is the ability to import choices and outcomes from Hitman 2, which adds to the replayability. Now, every step, hidden doorway, and kill is significant, and it might just change your entire story.
There’s also the matter of the next-gen upgrade that’s included, and the game's transition into VR. While you can still play with a classic third-person view, why wouldn’t you want to experience everything first hand?
Where can you run this program?
Hitman 3 will be available for PC, Xbox, and PS4. It also includes a free next-gen upgrade to future console versions.
Is there a better alternative?
No. While there have always been similarities between this series and Assassin’s Creed, nothing quite competes with the advanced gameplay, VR ability, and story elements of this game.
Our take
If you’re a fan of these games, don’t miss Hitman 3. It’s an exquisite addition to the series, and since it’s the last one, you don’t want to miss the surprises, plot twists, and incredible hidden secrets that it has to offer.
Should you download it?
Yes. Play it through in third-person, then start again in first with VR. You shouldn’t forget to do a quick run-through of Hitman 2 to set up your importable choices first, though. That way, you can try out a few different story elements, consequences, and endings.
