Virtual interactive keyboard

Free Virtual Keyboard, created by Comfort Software Group, is an interactive software for Windows that lets you download an on-screen keyboard on any computer device with a touchscreen.

What is a virtual keyboard?

Some people aren’t familiar with on-screen keyboards and might be wondering what use they have. Why use a virtual keyboard when you can use a real one?

Simply put, virtual keyboards are much better because they offer easier access to features that might be a bit difficult to find on a physical keyboard. You can change languages and fonts with a simple click, customize it to your liking anytime you want, and access features not often available on a physical keyboard. On-screen keyboards are also unable to break, unlike real ones.

How it works

Free Virtual Keyboard works on any touchscreen device. It has a Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, or Windows XP or Vista system requirement. It supports many languages such as English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and a few others.

Since it’s a free application, it doesn’t have as many features, but still has three themes to choose from. It also has the option to change the brightness and the font size to suit users as they see fit. With the newest update, improvements have been made to the overall app, and some bugs have been fixed.

Pricing and license agreement

This program is completely free to use on any Windows device. A license is already in place and simply needs to be installed along with the program itself, though everything is free and software updates aren’t charged either.

Our take

As expected of a free program, this keyboard doesn’t have all the fancy features that one might get from a paid keyboard. However, it’s still an excellent application to have on your device. It’s straightforward to use, with quite a few features that are desired by users.

Should you download it?

Yes. If you don’t want to carry a physical keyboard with you, then this virtual keyboard is what you need. It’s simple and easy to use. There are other few alternatives that attempt the same function, such as Synthesia and Hot Virtual Keyboard, but none of them are as excellent.
