A multiplayer vehicular combat game

In Crossout here is a large amount of customization people can do on their car, from weapons to armor. Finally, users can join one of seven factions, each with their unique strengths.

Customize your vehicle, then attack

One of the games biggest strengths is the wide degree of customization offered.

Crossout is a vehicle combat game where people can fight against AIs in single player mode or against other people in PVP mode. There are also multiple game types, such as team deathmatch base capture.

This program allows players to play as one of seven factions. All new players being a member of The Engineers, and at level 10 players can change factions. Each one also offers its advantages and armaments.

The combat engine, as well as the matchmaking, are well thought out in Crossout. Users are paired by tier, and the components of the vehicle determine that. Weapons count as more points than armor, so glass cannons are very common in online servers. Also when dealing damage, cars are crippled instead of being destroyed outright, so if a wheel is lost that impacts movement and steering.

This game does have several flaws. Aesthetically it isn't very pleasing because of the muted tones - probably done to reflect the apocalyptic wasteland setting - but brighter kits would be a great addition. Another fault people have with this title is that to build weapons and cars, you need components that take a while to acquire.

Where can you run this program?

Users will be able to play this game in Windows XP and above PCs.

Is there a better alternative?

Not really, but Steel Ocean is also a fun game

Our take

This title is fun to play and offers you the ability to customize the vehicle however you want. Multiple factions also keep it interesting due to weekly challenges and special rewards.

Should you download it?

Yes, it's a great game that combines multiplayer tactics, online marketplaces, and customization in a way to where Crossroads feels fresh.
