Assassin's Creed is a massive franchise with many games spanning from the medieval ages through to Victorian and modern times. This wide coverage of historical accuracy has brought the series and its heroes to major popularity many times.

In AC Rebellion you build up your brotherhood by rediscovering the legends of the Assassin's Order, such as Altair and Ezio. There are over 40 characters available to collect, including brand new ones that haven't been seen in other games.

As your brotherhood grows, your base of operations will need to expand too. Adding rooms will increase the powers and skills of your assassins. You'll also need these rooms to craft equipment, medicine, and to gather resources. The base also helps you collect DNA fragments required for unlocking new heroes and upgrading their abilities. This separate feature fits well and merges with the other elements across the title.

With your newly gained assassins, you'll need to infiltrate the Templar strongholds located across Spain. It isn't an easy task, given that you'll have to select the right combination of heroes to complete the mission. 

As you play, you'll occasionally encounter events that you must complete within a set timeframe. These events often offer a great reward, should you be able to handle their challenges. If you can't, there's the premium monthly subscription that offers more login rewards and faster activity timers among other benefits. This is forced and blatant.

Assassin’s Creed Rebellion is available for IOS 8.0 and up, as well as Android 4.3 and later.

Is there a better alternative?

No. This game pales in comparison to the console and computer versions that are packed with way more action. For its limited platforms, though, it does a great job. If this doesn't fulfill your parkour and combat needs, there's always Vector.

AC Rebellion is a fantastic game that brings the world of Assassin’s Creed to your phone and other devices. It’s a new take, with very different visuals, but it finds a way to satisfy.
