Virginia - A Supernatural Thriller Game
Virginia is a unique and intriguing game that places the player in the shoes of a young FBI Agent named Anne Tarver. The game is set in a small fictional town called Kingdom, where a boy named Lucas Fairfax has gone missing. Tarver is tasked with solving the mystery and finding the child. Accompanied by a higher-ranking agent named Maria Halperin, Tarver must navigate the town and uncover clues to solve the case.
The gameplay of Virginia is similar to interactive movies and "walking simulators." The player controls Tarver as she travels around the city with Halperin, finding clues and learning more about what's going on in the town. The player has no actual control over the actions of the protagonist but can navigate her through the city. The game is very short, and two hours is enough to complete it.
Virginia's visual style is intentionally low-poly, and there are no dialogues, neither in subtitles nor voice acting. The player can only understand the narrative through the facial expressions and body language of the characters, making it a unique and immersive experience. If you enjoy supernatural thrillers like Twin Peaks and X-Files, Virginia is a game you don't want to miss.
