Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack - A Fun and Addictive Side-Scroller
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a side-scrolling platformer game developed by DrinkBox Studios. The game features Blob, a blob who escapes from his own homeworld and ends up on Earth, where he begins consuming everything he finds while exploring the planet. The game is a prequel to Tales From Space: About a Blob.
The players control Blob and must pass a specific obstacle located at every level of the game to complete it. Blob is tiny at the beginning of the level, but when he eats something, he gets a bit bigger. This allows the players to grow Blob to enormous sizes by eating the loosely-placed items in the in-game world. The game heavily relies on its advanced physics simulation system, allowing the levels to be highly interactive, and the question of how to approach a specific level is completely up to the player. The players can also use Blob's multiple mutant abilities, such as transforming into a rocket for a limited amount of time, sticking to walls, or even using telekinesis to manipulate the in-game items.
