Access TVwidgets for Sky News, NBC, and MTV
If you're a fan of watching TV on your Mac dashboard, then TVwidgets by TV Widgets may be of interest to you. This free program allows you to access widgets for popular channels like Sky News, NBC, and MTV.
TVwidgets doesn't actually allow you to watch TV channels within the widget itself. Instead, it provides a list of different widgets for various channels that you can download and install separately. The selection of channels is a bit mixed, ranging from well-known channels like Sky News, NBC, and MTV to more obscure ones like "M" channel, Star Wars, and Kris TV. However, there are also alternative channels available such as C-Span and NASA TV.
One downside is that you need to install the channel widgets separately, which can be a bit inconvenient. It would have been better if you could activate and watch the widgets within TVwidgets itself. Additionally, while some channels feature descriptions, most do not.
Overall, TVwidgets offers a decent selection of channels, but the choice can be hit or miss. The recent changes to the program include the addition of more TVwidgets and a new design.
