Join and split files easily on Mac
Split&Concat is a simple but powerful tool for joining and splitting files on your Mac. It doesn't require any Terminal experience and offers three main functions: Split, Concat, and Create Par file. With Split&Concat, you can easily load a file into any of these functions by dragging it into the Dock icon.
Split&Concat uses commands via Terminal in OS X to split files. If you're already familiar with Terminal, you may not need this tool. However, if you're not, Split&Concat can do the job for you. The Split function allows you to split a file into smaller parts, while the Concat function lets you join multiple files into a single file. Additionally, the Create Par file function allows you to create a compressed file that includes a collection of portal components and resource files.
While Split&Concat is generally effective and powerful, some users have reported issues with splitting or joining certain files. The program also does not support extensions with digits, such as .1 or .001a. Additionally, when you split a file, it will be renamed with a double extension, like .zip.zip.
Overall, Split&Concat is a powerful splitter and joiner tool for Mac users who are not familiar with performing such functions using Terminal. It provides an easy-to-use interface and offers essential features for file manipulation.
