Join multiple video formats into one
If you've got several video clips all in different formats, it's a pain to have to convert every single one to the same format before you can join them. Luckily AddMovie removes this need by allowing you to combine several video clips into one without any further conversion necessary. Alternatively, AddMovie can be used to compile a batch of clips for conversion into a specific format. The simple interface features a slider and marker that also allows you to extract movie frames, split movies at specific points, and extract the soundtrack into an AIFF file.
You can select which format you'd like to output to, including QuickTime, MPEG-4, and 3GP. Converting or joining files is very easy - simply drag and drop the files you want to join into the AddMovie File List. Next, click the options button to select exactly what you'd like to do with the files. Here you can choose an export format or make a "self-contained" version (copy video and sound from all source movies). If you're merging clips, just click "Generate," and your files will slowly be converted. If you're just exporting a clip into a different format, then just click "Export Movies."
It doesn't work with all formats, and for Flash and WMV files, you'll have to install the QuickTime plugins. But AddMovie is a simple but efficient format merger and converter.
