Shoo Apps - Review
The little Shoo Apps program aims to hide inactive applications from your screen. It works via a little cursor, which you drag to set the number of seconds until the unused program is hidden. From the somewhat unfinished interface, you can find a pre-established choice of apps to hide, from General, basically everything, to the Finder or Firefox bin. Obviously Shoo Apps will only show applications that are opened and you will have to decide which ones to hide. The cursor itself felt somewhat imprecise. Even though you could set the time from a few seconds to minutes, I had trouble getting the exact time I wanted. The arrows on the right were similarly unintuitive to use.
To give Shoo Apps some credit, it will clear up your screen if you have a lot of applications open. However, do not count on it for freeing up some memory for you. Shoo Apps still needs a bit more finishing to make it a useful application.
