Sewer Rave Twitter Royale Review
Sewer Rave Twitter Royale is a free simulation video game that lets you watch cartoon rats display Tweet text while you party. Developed by Autumn Rain, this is a gimmicky 3D indie game that serves as a free but separate download of a side game to Sewer Rave. Compared to the first game, this is extremely short and doesn’t actually offer any solid gameplay, as you’ll mostly just be walking around.
Sewer Rave is a 2018 surreal first-person randomized exploration indie game created by the same developer, wherein you visit a rat-infested sewer during a giant rave party. In the game, you go around discovering secrets, puzzles, and minigames in order to interact with the characters. There’s no pressure to achieve something so you can go at your own pace but there’s also not much direction given to you by the game. This gets even worse in the extra free game, Sewer Rave Twitter Royale. Here, the setting is still the same but now, there are no puzzles or minigames whatsoever. The only thing you can do is walk, run, and jump around and grab rats whenever you’re bored. This is because the game is more of a Twitter post generator for fans of the first game. These will be displayed by the rat NPCs as their dialogue.
To play, you first need to enter a Twitter account name. This has to be an existing and public account; if it’s not real, the game will simply reset until you add one. After loading, just walk up to any rat and read their Tweet. The map is small, however, so you’ll soon run out of rats to interact with. This could have just been an extra game mode in Sewer Rave.
All in all, if you liked the first game, then Sewer Rave Twitter Royale is something that you may enjoy for a brief moment—especially if your Following feed is quite active. However, it lacks a lot of content found in Sewer Rave so there’s not much replay value to be found here. Not only that but you actually need a public and existing Twitter account username to even start playing.
