Peek-a-boo: Monitor all running processes
Peek-a-boo is an alternative to your Mac's Activity Monitor, providing a comprehensive view of all running processes. With its cumulative information window, you can easily compare the CPU usage of each application. Clicking on a process will bring up a detailed information window, displaying memory usage and the full command.
While the CPU usage history feature already exists in the Activity Monitor, Peek-a-boo offers a useful tool to track when an application has a sudden increase in memory usage. The logging information window provides a list of common processes, which can be beneficial for troubleshooting.
The standout feature of Peek-a-boo is the Process Throb View. This unique graph view allows you to see all processes in real time. Processes appear and disappear as they become active or inactive, with the size of the icon representing the size of the process. The constant movement in the view reflects the underlying activity happening on your Mac.
Overall, Peek-a-boo is a traditional activity monitor for Mac with the added bonus of the entertaining Process Throb View.
