MSU Guide is a groundbreaking application developed by the Michigan State University Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) to aid individuals in exploring and navigating the Michigan State University (MSU) campus in East Lansing. This interactive app is designed to be inclusive and practical for all users, with a specific focus on enhancing the experience for individuals with visual, spatial, and mobility disabilities.

With MSU Guide, users gain access to three essential tools for campus exploration. The first tool, WAND, enables users to point their iPhone at any campus building to instantly retrieve its name and pertinent information, including details on wheelchair accessible entrances. The second tool, MAP, offers a detailed campus map, allowing users to mark specific landmarks and utilize a compass that directs them to the nearest landmark under the pin. Additionally, the SEARCH feature permits users to locate any campus building by name through the iOS home screen search function (Spotlight), with real-time positioning information available once a building is selected.

MSU Guide is dedicated to ongoing enhancements, with promising new features on the horizon to further streamline campus navigation. Whether you're a student, faculty member, or visitor at MSU, this app serves as an indispensable companion for effortlessly exploring and traversing the campus terrain.
