Stunning graphical retouch

What’s special about this enhancement is it takes games one step closer to real-life with almost perfect sunlight reflection. In Minecraft, it turns the days into bright paradises, and nights into almost horror-like atmospheres.

New gaming direction

Nvidia's RTX Ray Tracing does a stellar job of breathing new life into the tried and true game, Minecraft.

The very atmosphere and worlds of the game change with RTX. It takes the old graphical landscape and gives it a brightened, realistic feel. The night is also much darker without being a blackened version of the day.

Bricks are redesigned so that they have reflective qualities. However, all of this comes at a cost to the engine load. To run the game, you will need a heavy-duty computer with the latest Nvidia RTX-capable graphics cards.

It is a huge step up from the original Minecraft, but one of the great things about Minecraft is that it could run anywhere. This version loses that aspect.

Where can you run this program?

You can run this with Windows 10 and only with the latest Nvidia GeForce GPU.

Is there a better alternative?

No, there are no better alternatives. Minecraft has long been a stand-alone in the market, beating out other competitors. The other option is to stick with the non-RTX game or grab some shader packs for Minecraft.

Our take

It is a great improvement to the application and is worth picking up. The only downside is the high standard of graphics necessary to power the game.

Should you download it?

Yes, as long as your system can handle it, and you enjoy playing Minecraft.
