A mech you can call your own
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is an action-packed game set nearly a hundred years in the future. You embark on quests, destroy cities, paint and modify your Mech, and join up with friends.
Level cities and crush your enemies
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a sci-fi action shooter that places you in the cockpit of a giant robot.
Mercenaries is an intergalactic sandbox where you’ll run a mercenary company to complete the campaign. The tough decisions involve money management and proper configuration for your battle suit.
You can complete the game in both singleplayer or multiplayer modes. You can also invite your friends to fight by your side and create mass destruction along the way. Up to 3 friends can join you for this PvE experience.
Your environment, specifically the buildings around you, is destructible. Most objects in the world are destroyed when you walk through them. It’s a fun way to conserve ammunition. Alternatively, you can aim at your enemies and their array of unique Mechs.
Aside from the game using a lot of your system’s resources, it also requires a large amount of available storage space on your hard drive. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries needs 55GB of free space, plus extra for any future updates that may occur.
Once you’ve gone into battle, and you figure out how you want to fight, you can customize your Mech. However, this isn’t always an option, and it may be best to sell instead of trying to repair a hopeless cause. Certain missions will limit the changes you can make to your suit.
You can also apply cosmetic modifications on your Mech. You can choose its colors and patterns easily in the menu.
Where can you run this program?
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is available for 64-bit Windows 7 and up.
Is there a better alternative?
No. There’s no better feeling than to stride across the land on your Mech and blow cities sky high. However, BATTLETECH plays much like MW5 and has a similar level of excitement.
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a great game that giant robot fans and their friends will adore if their computer can run it. It might take up a lot of space, but it’s worth the download.
