GimmeSomeTune is a sleek and elegant status item for your iTunes that automatically displays album covers and track lyrics. With its beautiful interface, this program discreetly pops up a dark grey window to show you the song currently playing in iTunes, along with essential information like track name, length, and rating. Lyrics are displayed in a separate pop-up window with a sidebar for easy browsing.
Not only does GimmeSomeTune work seamlessly with iTunes, but it also supports Last.fm. You can control everything using hotkeys, which can be fully customized. Additionally, GimmeSomeTune can fetch album covers from selected websites and can be set up to work with the Mac remote control.
While the inability to resize the info window is a minor drawback, you can customize the fonts and text color. Uninstalling GimmeSomeTune may be a bit unclear, but overall, it is an excellent application for music lovers who enjoy seeing album covers and lyrics for their songs.
