Simulating genuine European roads
Euro Truck Simulator takes you on a journey of Europe as you drive through beautiful cities past realistic vehicles and take the long roads to get your cargo to your destination. Developed by SCS Software, this vehicle simulation game was released in 2008 and was the first truck simulator in a European setting. Become a real truck driver. Sleep, fill up on fuel, carry packages, and so much more.
The game features realistic graphics, meticulously detailed models, richly-crafted interiors and truck exteriors, as well as an actual working fuel gauge, wipers, speedometer, indicators, and car temperature. It’ll feel like you’re sitting exactly at the wheel of a real truck. You’ll have to drive through bad weather conditions, such as rain, and you must make sure to take advantage of your map so that you don’t get lost.
Whether you’re traveling to Rome, Berlin, London, Prague, Madrid, Brussel, or Helsinki — you can travel all over Europe with this truck simulator. The game features Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, and many others.
However, expanding to these countries does incur a fee of anything between €30,000 to €52,000 of your in-game money. You’ll also notice a fuel price difference depending on your region.
Initially, at the start of the game, you’ll be making much shorter trips between closer cities. As you become more skilled the jobs you do become more important, and you’ll need to travel much greater distances.
The game is available in many languages like Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and English. The minimum requirements are 1 GB of RAM, at least 2 GB of HDD space, a 2.4 GHz processor, and a 256 MB graphics card.
We love the entire concept of the game, and for those of us who enjoy ‘day in the life’ experiences, Euro Truck Simulator is a great way to do this. We also think that it’ll appeal to automobile fans with a specific interest in trucks.
