Paid classic RPG title
Diablo II: Resurrected is a remastering of the original Diablo II game featuring enhanced graphics and new features. The title offers cross-platform saving mechanics, letting you play across devices while keeping your progress. The gameplay and story for Resurrected are really close to the original with minimal change in items.
This game is a great experience if you enjoy other titles in the series such as Diablo III. Alternatively, there are features similar to the online MMO Path of Exile. While the gameplay is similar to the original, the remastering is a fun experience for newcomers as well.
Classic gameplay revived
Diablo II: Resurrected is almost identical to the original Diablo II, however, there are several new features and improvements. Fight the residents of hell for the first time or re-embark on the adventure with the new changes. The game includes content from the original title as well as the Lord of Destruction DLC.
Enhanced graphics
Unlike the original game, Diablo II: Resurrected has improved resolution and graphics. You can battle enemies in 4K resolution. However, these enhanced graphics come at the cost of increasing the system requirements substantially from those of the original game.
The game’s world is smoother and more detailed, looking as though it belongs on a modern computer. However, with the Legacy toggle, you can still revisit the old-school style of graphics even after its initial release date in 2021.
Same story, new experience
The story you play through in Diablo II: Resurrected is the same as its original, with the added bonus of the DLC content. If you’ve played the original, the remastered version will feel familiar and even nostalgic.
Play across devices
Cross-progression allows you to take the adventure to any console. All your loot and character data are saved to your account with Blizzard. Your story and quest progress, level, stats, and more sync flawlessly. However, this requires a separate purchase for each platform you’re using.
Our take
Diablo II: Resurrected is a brilliant remastering of the original game that provides a full, classic experience. The 4K graphics bring encounters with enemies and the stories to life. However, unless you’re a fan of the gameplay or haven’t experienced the original story, this title may feel too familiar.
Should you download it?
Yes. If you’re a fan of the Diablo series or want to try a new RPG, this title is an ideal download.
