Break the goalkeeper
Put your aim to the test and score awesome goals in this creative penalty shot arcade.
Try not to underestimate the simplicity of this free app. It’s a lot harder than it leads you to believe. You start by making straightforward shots into the goals. The controls consist of a single dotted line that you adjust with your finger.
You have to go through numerous levels to beat the game, each more difficult than the last. At some point, you’d find yourself stuck in front of the keeper for hours. A lot of players may shy away from the simple progression, but the app makes up for that by throwing a bunch of near-impossible setups to your face.
As you complete challenges, you’d begin to unlock new avatars and cool-looking soccer balls. The only problem is you can’t customize your collection. In addition to all of this, most will find the animation clunky and a little strange. The rigid props and lifeless NPCs make you want to kick the ball to their faces instead.
Because the app is free, you can expect a reasonable amount of in-game advertisement. This game, though, assaults your attention span with relentless ads after every single level. When you lose, you respawn at the first stage of the level. To skip to where you left off, you must watch even more ads. Once you beat a level, you savor that moment, but due to the large number of promotions that clutter your screen, you won’t want to replay the game.
Where can you run this program?
Cool goal is installable on Devices that have iOS 9.0 or newer operating system.
Is there a better alternative?
No. You won’t find another game more challenging yet simple like this one. Angry Bird has the same concept, but levels are more complex.
Cool Goal leans more toward strategy than actual soccer. That shouldn’t deter sports fans from trying it, though. You’d still enjoy the decision making mechanics, and it’s a great time filler.
Should you download it?
Yes. If you like strategic arcade games with limited replayability, give this one a go.
