Chess Rush puts you in the commander’s seat and throws a few unique characters your way for each session of visually spectacular graphics. First, you sign up for matchmaking and are signed on to a team of six players. Then, you select amongst a large variety of heroes that appear at random and in intervals. The combat involves an auto-battle system, and even though you don’t control each unit, your placement and character choices will determine the outcome of every session.

While you try to dominate your own personal board, your allies are met with the same struggle. In the time it takes for your next confrontation, you can observe the progress of the other situations that your teammates are dealing with.

An active community guarantees quick matchmaking results, which means you won’t be waiting too long before getting started. Also, if you’re pressed for time but need to scratch that itch, you can use ‘Turbo Mode’ for ten-minute matches.

This title offers plenty of fun, but it comes with a few negatives. There are a ton of heroes to choose from, but they come with balance issues. This means players are constantly cherry-picking, resulting in many matches that feel too similar. Where other games have players spreading out their character investments, here you’ll want to keep the meta line-up and avoid a majority of the other heroes. Also, you’ll be met with a slew of server errors, so be ready for random disconnects.
