If you've found that the Dock, Spaces or Expose haven't helped you lead a more productive and organized life on your Mac then take a look at BumpTop. BumpTop turns your desktop 3D so that you can switch from one side to another depending on what you want to do or what you're working on. Obviously, this is a pretty graphics and processor intensive application so you be aware that it does consume quite a few resources in the process. However, BumpTop is much more than just a flashy desktop app. It helps you in a variety of other ways from allowing you to put post-it notes on your desktops to a powerful search tool for finding files and folders.

You can use BumpTop alongside Expose and Spaces although I wouldn't really recommend it as things can get quite confusing. One particularly handy feature is the ability to create piles of files and folders in order to keep your desktop more organized. However, I'm not entirely sure how different this is from Stacks in OS X. When you expand the Piles too, it's not as easy to see the contents because the magnification is much smaller than in Stacks. However, unlike Stacks, the Piles do allow you to recognize items much more easily.

BumpTop is an interesting application that will appeal to all of those that feel one desktop simply isn't enough.
