Beneath a Steel Sky is a classic 1994 point-and-click adventure, which Revolution games has brought back to life on the iPhone. Artist Dave Gibbons (Watchmen) has added a new animated cinematic intro, which adds drama to the game's opening. The voices have been tuned, and despite its age, Beneath a Steel Sky looks and sounds good on the iPhone's screen.

Set in the distant future in a depressing world of steel towers, Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered sees you (Robert Foster) on the run from government storm troopers, with a sardonic robot companion. Someone is out to get Robert, but he has no idea why, and no idea how to escape the city he's been brought to.

The gameplay is classic point-and-click puzzle solving - in every area you'll have to talk to everyone, pick up objects, and use them intelligently to move on. The touchscreen interface works really well, and is designed so that your finger never obscures what you're trying to do. The puzzles aren't too difficult, but if you get stuck there's a complete hint system to keep you moving.

Humorous and engaging, Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered is a great adventure for the iPhone and excellent value. The added cut scenes and hint system make a fantastic game even better.
