Interesting shooter with rpg features

The Division 2 expands on the original formula. There are more detailed levels and heavy improvements on most visuals. Interactions with other players is a key feature, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy these online gatherings.

Level up and shoot bigger foes

This title provides a fun way to group up, grind for weapons, take down mobs, and fight against other players.

Create a character for multiplayer or single player in this interesting mashup of role-playing and the shooter experience. The open-world feels alive with scaling content and other players. There’s plenty of loot to go around, tons of player skills to modify, and a familiar Tom Clancy tone throughout. Experience points come from different actions, which gives it a more realistic feel. Instead of grinding mobs with no end in sight, you can set specific objectives and know that you’ll receive a proper reward.

As for combat, apart from multiplayer, there are three different factions. Each has their own playstyle, so you’re always on your toes. Also, there are fewer bullet sponge enemies in this iteration, and elite mobs create a fun dynamic in combat because their armor falls off during firefights. The randomized activities that pepper the map are generally fantastic. In these areas, you clear out enemies, fight a unique boss, and proceed to defend it.

This title is visually stunning. You can tell that a lot of effort went into The Division 2 and that it’s spread out appropriately on all facets. Sadly, once you reach the endgame, things start to feel a bit repetitive. You grind for gear so that you can reach more dangerous areas, and grind for more gear. The community is the only pillar that late-game has to stand on.

Where can you run this program?

This game runs on Windows 7 and later. It’s also available for PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and Xbox One.

Is there a better alternative?

Yes. There’s plenty of fun in this game. However, Borderlands 2 fits as a better choice.

Our take

This title is a gem in the third-person shooter genre. It’s more about the journey than the destination. So, even when things get dull at the end, the process is a joy.

Should you download it?

Yes. If you’re itching for a game where you level up as you shoot down opponents, this is a fine choice.
