The Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos is a total conversion mod for Gothic II: Gold Edition. It offers a new open world, improved skills systems, gameplay mechanics, and a complex story. The game takes place in the Kingdom of Myrtana, a country that is in turmoil due to war and unrest. The mod features a new island called Archolos, east of the Myrtana mainland, with never-seen-before regions filled with vineyards, farms, and villages mentioned in the first Gothic game.
The player takes on the role of Marvin, a young man who fled his home due to the impending war. Marvin arrives in Archolos, where he encounters rich merchants, servants of King Rhobar II, and desperate refugees. The player must find a way to survive in this land of treachery, opportunism, and opposing interests. In The Chronicles of Myrtana, players decide their own fate. Will they take everything they want by force? Or will they try to help others in need?
