Experience the power fantasy
Maneater is a power fantasy for gamers; you start the game as a baby ripped from your mother, but eventually grow into a massive man-eating megashark.
Diverse combat
Maneater is a fun action RPG game that places you in the role of a shark as you feast and grow.
Maneater is a unique game that you can play on your computer. There is no multiplayer, and it can run on older graphics cards and just 4 GB of RAM. You have an open underwater world to explore unless you decide to jump across the land to reach collectibles and prey.
The visuals you’ll see are astounding, from the details on your shark to the various fish swimming around the ocean. Combining this with the narration that could be light-hearted or even comedic sometimes brings the game to life.
The mechanics of the game are easy to learn and master. While that takes away some of the challenge, it allows you to naturally progress through the game’s story and the many repetitive missions of killing and eating fish or humans. Though the combat is repetitive and the mechanics easy to master there will still be challenging boss battles to experience.
Where can you run this program?
Maneater is available for 64-bit operating systems running Windows 7 and up.
Is there a better alternative?
No. There is no better shark-based RPG available. However, Torchlight III is a great alternative to play once you complete Maneater.
Our take
Maneater is a great game that uses an open world and a variety of paths for you to follow during fights, putting you in control.
Should you download it?
