A game that rewards exploration
Hell is Us is an action and semi-open-world game that takes place in a desolate country devastated by a civil war. As a strange phenomenon causes the appearance of chimeras, it is up to the player to use everything in their arsenal to slay these monstrosities and survive.
In Hell is Us, you can deploy your drone as well as forge and equip axes, spears, and swords to aid in your survival against the chimeras. It doesn't have maps, quest markers, or even a compass—making for a more immersive experience. This means you have to rely on yourself and your instincts to explore the game's bleak world. While this third-person title rewards curiosity and self-discovery, the lack of a world map or quest marker is a deal breaker for some players.
Given the absence of maps or markers, Hell is Us is a game that doesn't spoonfeed players. Rather, it rewards self-discovery and exploration for maximum immersion. It also lets you forge weapons and use your drone to help you fight against the chimeras.
