Connect serial devices to your Mac
Do you remember the days of serial cables when connecting a printer or external device to your machine involved using a cable with huge teethed connectors at each end? Although those days are gone, there are occasions when it might be necessary for one reason or another, especially if you're using older external equipment with your Mac. Even though most peripherals today connect via USB or even through the air, there are still occasions when you need a simple serial cable.
goSerial is designed to allow you to use a serial connection as easily as possible. It works with any serial port supported by your OS and even allows multiple connections simultaneously. You can select the type of device you are trying to connect (such as a modem) and goSerial will automatically adjust Input and Output parameters appropriately. Note though that there's no support for VT100 as yet.
goSerial is one of the few solutions out there for all those that need to connect serial devices to their Mac.
