FIFA 21 is the 28th installment of the acclaimed football simulation game franchise. FIFA 21 Companion is an app for creating your dream team on the go. Developed by Electronic Arts, it lets you check leaderboards and objectives and manage your squad from your smartphone.

A Companion

This official application works in tandem with your pre-existing EA account, FIFA Ultimate Team™ Club, and a purchased FIFA 21 game on your PC, Xbox One, or PS4. 

So, unlike FIFA Mobile Soccer and Dream League Soccer, which are standalone games, this one comes with prerequisites. It also implies a price tag if you’re only getting started, although the app itself is free.

Features & Options

Once you activate the app, you gain access to its many polished features. You can customize your FUT stadium, access all the brand-new FUT events, and compete against or cooperate with other players in the community.

The Companion app also lets you buy or sell players through the Transfer market or exchange them in Squad Building Challenges. If you’ve unlocked a reward in any event or league, you can claim it through this app, which also lets you redeem FUT Champions Points.

If you used the FIFA 20 Companion, it’s possible to transfer the points you gathered to 21, but not the other way around. 

Design & Usability

FIFA 21 Companion consists of several tabs, the first of which is the Main Screen. It contains your account details, a navigation bar, objectives, latest news, and stadium customization options.

Moreover, the Squad Screen contains everything squad-related, facilitating management. There are also Screens for SBCs, Transfers, Clubs, Store, and Leaderboards. 

The entire app is well-fleshed out, personalizable, and easy to use if you’re well-versed in the world of FIFA.

Our take

While this app contains many improvements and new features, it still needs work to compete with its predecessor, EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Companion. It needs improvement in terms of reliability in displaying live data and glitches. Still, it’s a handy tool for FIFA 21 players.
