Emergency is a new app from the British Red Cross that’s free to download. The app is a handy guide to staying safe in the event of a natural disaster, such as a flood, fire, earthquake, or sudden power outage. In addition, it provides emergency advice and useful information to help you prepare for, and respond to, a disaster.
To use the app, you'll need to enter your phone number and email address. After receiving a verification code, you can access the app. Once inside, you can add the places and people you care about to get alerts from the British Red Cross. You have the option to set alerts to be notified by phone or email, even if your phone is locked or you're abroad.
The app allows you to choose to receive notifications for individual events or for all alerts. You can also select whether you want to be notified by phone or email. The British Red Cross will send you alerts and information about the event, and you can choose to receive a notification or email.
