Caverns of Mars: Recharged 0/1

Caverns of Mars: Recharged is a top-down shooting game that challenges players to reach the core of Mars. Similar to other iterations, such as Atari Asteroids, this platform pays homage to the original 1981 arcade version inspired by the developers at Atari.

As it offers both single-player and online co-op support, players can team up with one another in order to blast through layers of stubborn rock while defeating enemies that await along the way.

Bullet-hell excitement

Caverns of Mars: Recharged boasts bullet-hell gameplay. This aspect ensures that a never-ending supply of ammunition is always close at hand. Such resources are also extremely useful when you consider just how long it could take to finally reach the depths of the planet.

Balanced gameplay

One interesting feature of this platform involves the ways in which players will need to manage their ships. While unlimited ammunition is provided, each shot slightly depletes the onboard energy reserves. As a result, a fair degree of forward-thinking will be required to survive.

Power-ups galore

There are 30 levels to complete, and each one is more challenging than the last. Thus, players are provided with ample skills and resources that can be upgraded. Examples include (but are not limited to) a rapid-fire shotgun and an electromagnetic railgun.

Classic Atari excitement

Much like other timeless games, including Space Alien Invaders, Caverns of Mars: Recharged provides plenty of the fast-paced action associated with classic entertainment. The good news is that the graphics, mechanics, and soundtrack have all been upgraded in order to accommodate the tastes of today's players.
