Android 12 Betafor Android

Free phone operating system

Android 12 Beta is a free operating system for your mobile phone and tablet. The system provides many new features for your devices. However, this is a beta release of the software and it isn’t yet fully completed. This beta is available as a free download.

The system is an improved version of Android 11 and Android 10, offering more features and a few redesigns. The notification shade is more playful and vibrant than in either of the previous releases and clearly displays apps. Additionally, quality of life features such as scrolling screenshots and conversation widgets allow for more freedom of use.

Android 12

As the beta release of Android 12, the software allows you to experience most of the features available on the stable release. However, this is also limiting as many features are missing. One notable item is the game mode

For many phones, the new customization features are a quick way to personalize. With an improved collection of color for themes, you can pick how widgets appear.

Device limitations

You can opt into the beta version of Android through your Google account. To view if you’re using the beta, navigate to your ‘about phone’ section and look for SPB before our system’s build number. If you have that code, you’re using the beta version.

The Android 12 Beta is only available for Pixel phones, from the Pixel 3 to the Pixel 5. No Samsung phone is able to opt-in for the beta.

Quality of life and more

Features such as scrolling screenshots, conversation widgets, and improved visibility are a great aid in daily life. These features make the system feel free, a major improvement in the Android market.

Additionally, animations are improved and transition smoothly. Viewing which app is currently using your resources is another great aspect of Android 12 Beta. The new quick menu gives you control of the operating system in a single swipe.

Our take

Overall, the Android 12 Beta is a great version of the Android software with a few noticeable flaws. As this is the beta version, there are system bugs that still need to be worked on. On the other hand, the operating system has many enhancements made from the previous Android 11, such as better animations and customization options for apps. However, aside from noticeable changes, there are many quality of life updates that make the system stand out.

Should you download it?

No. It's best to get the stable release of Android 12, and not the beta version that still has a few noticeable flaws.

  • More customization options
  • Fluid animations
  • Private and secure
  • Many quality of life features

  • Unpolished and shows a few noticeable bugs
