Uplay is a gaming platform that curates all of your favorite video games into one place.

From Assassin’s Creed to Ghost Recon

Discover a world of exciting media and enrich your gaming experience.

Explore the latest Ubisoft games. There are also some additional features that would appeal to any avid gamer.

This mobile app helps you stay up-to-date on all the titles on your account. You can see most of what you get on the desktop version, like game information, rewards, and achievements.

On desktop, you complete missions within each game to earn coins. These can buy you in-game items and unlock exclusive content. In the iPhone app, you can make these purchases or add more coins if you’re away from your PC.

Find out some cool gaming tricks. The media hub is full to the brim with some helpful tips and advice for games. You can figure out how to defeat a boss or how to perform certain fighting moves.

Unfortunately, Uplay is let down by its confusing interface. In an attempt to recreate all the desktop features, it has over-complicated the iPhone version. The platform is messy and difficult to navigate, which ruins the experience. The program also takes up a lot of space on a smartphone. It’s not ideal if you don’t want your battery to drain quickly.

Uplay is also somewhat lacking. The features are interesting and unique, but aside from a few missions and gaming tricks, it’s nothing more than a game launch pad. You can view all your games in a gallery-style format, but it doesn’t have many other services.

Where can you run this program?

This program is available on iOS 6 and later.

Is there a better alternative?

No. Steam has a friendlier interface and doesn’t take up too much memory, but you won’t be able to keep track of your Ubisoft purchases and rewards.

Our take

Uplay is a great way to view all your games at once. It’s perfect for Ubisoft game fans, but the interface isn’t so promising. It could do with more optimization, but this seems to be a weakness with Ubisoft overall, so it’s nothing new.

Should you download it?

Yes, if you want to get a hold of the information on your Ubisoft titles, there’s no other option.
