Transmit Widgetfor Mac

The Transmit Widget is a convenient tool that allows you to access the excellent FTP client for Mac directly from your Dashboard. Once you have Transmit set up on your Mac, getting this widget is a good idea for quick file transfers. The widget is easy to configure, requiring you to enter server, user, password, and path details. Once configured, you can simply drag and drop files onto the widget to initiate transfers. The widget provides visual feedback with a little truck icon that moves during the transfer, and a green checkmark indicating completion. However, it's important to note that the Transmit widget only offers limited functionality compared to the full FTP client. It is primarily useful for quick uploads and lacks features such as file browsing, secure transfers, access to Amazon S3, and integration with Spotlight and Automator. Additionally, the Transmit interface pops up every time you carry out an upload in the widget.
