This augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system enables users to convey messages by selecting symbols that are subsequently vocalized and added to a sentence for further comprehension.
With SymboTalk, users have the flexibility to craft personalized symbols or select from an extensive online library. The application features 14 predesigned boards based on ARASAAC Symbols, available in 23 languages. Users can enrich symbols with images captured through their camera, select from a vast library of over 60,000 images, and even record audio for symbols.
The app offers versatile board customization options, empowering users to construct tailored communication boards and sub-boards. It supports offline functionality and incorporates useful features such as screen locking for users requiring assistance, color selection for symbols, and sub-board creation. SymboTalk also provides cloud services for data synchronization across devices, data backups, and sharing profiles, boards, and symbols with others, albeit requiring a subscription after a one-month trial period at $0.99 per month. The app supports speaking in 26 languages and offers an interface in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Hebrew.
