Working with RAW Files on Inexpensive Canon DSLRs Made Easy

RAWMagic 0/1

RAWMagic is a software program for RAW and MLV video conversion. You need this tool if you are using Canon DSLR cameras equipped with Magic Lantern. The tool makes RAW video recording on less expensive Canon DSLRs possible.

RAWMagic converts RAW and MLV files to CinemaDNG. This conversion comes in quite handy as CinemaDNG sequences could be directly edited with widely used non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere CC and DaVinci Resolve. The footages can be edited in native CinemaDNG, and later exported to color correction programs such as DaVinci Resolve.

All of this final grading can be accomplished without using proxy files. If you couldn’t record RAW video and benefit from professional-level cinematography, RAWMagic just makes things easier for you.

Using RAWMagic is pretty straightforward. You just have to drag-drop the RAW files into the program and get them converted. The files could be converted to their respective CinemaDNG folders, and you may choose the folder location. You could drag the files while the program is at work. The files newly dropped would get automatically queued. You may even choose to drag and drop all the files at once and let RAWMagic do its “magic”.

The tool outputs compressed CinemaDNG and also supports MLV audio. Both 16- and 12-bit CinemaDNG output are supported, along with file spanning.
