Actors Mobile ADR, developed by TODD-AO, is a free iPhone app tailored for actors needing to record Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) in sync with the picture. This app simplifies the ADR process by offering traditional beeps, wipe, preview, and playback features, enabling actors to efficiently record ADR on their iPhones or iPads. It facilitates seamless communication between editors and actors by allowing encrypted video transfers for synchronized dialog recording, akin to a professional ADR Recording Stage. Actors can choose to record using the built-in microphone or connect the Rode VideoMic Me-L, with headphones recommended for optimal results. Notably, when using the iPhone's built-in speaker, the app automatically mutes the guide track on the third ADR beep.
