Professional wrestling game
Developed by Yuke’s and published by 2K Sports, WWE 2K19 is an installment in the WWE video game series. It precedes the latest WWE 2K20.
Massive character roster
2K19 introduces an exciting list of playable characters. Sixty-two new names have been added, and players will experience the game by playing fan favorites such as Akira, Itami, Eric Young, Jeff Hardy, Noam Dar, and many more. Players will also be able to create their own customizable characters to play with throughout the game. There are nearly 200 playable characters to choose from, all with their own unique gameplay and movements.
The visuals for this game don’t disappoint; players are introduced to gorgeous graphics. Character models are realistic, and their movements are fluid, while the overall texture and lighting of the game are clean and smooth.
Story mode and free play
The Career Mode in 2K19 offers an immersive and sometimes hilarious storyline that will make fans of the current WWE feel right at home, even if you’re playing with your own created character. There are many match types, and missions players can participate in away from the main storyline. The game itself offers hours of fun, with an average playtime of 25 hours.
2K19 is the 20th installment in the WWE video game series and still uses the same engines as it did in the previous games. As a result, while the graphics are a bit cleaner and controls a bit more refined; even so, it can quickly get tedious or boring. Matches have the tendency to feel the same, whether you're playing a campaign or the other game modes.
Despite this, Yuke's and 2K Sports did a great job in making WWE 2K19 unique and not a carbon copy of previous titles.
Overall, 2K19 is a decent installment in the WWE video game series if you're a die-hard fan of the series. Though it may have its bugs and glitches, it’s still fun and enjoyable.
