Traffic Run!for Android

Traffic Run is a free game developed by Geisha Tokyo and takes up 61 MB on your phone. The game was released in May 2019 and the latest version is 16.6. as updated in July. To play the game you run through crazy traffic on different levels. You will have cars, bikes and buses everywhere so watch out.  As you move up levels expect to find obstacles that become more and more dangerous. 

Easy to play game

Gets more interesting as you move up the levels.

Traffic Run is one of the easiest games to play that you find in the play store. For one, there are no controls and you only need to use your finger to move around dodging traffic. On each level you encounter different vehicles that try to smash you in. The cars also come with different speeds. You need to move fast and anticipate their moves. 

Initially when you start the game it seems like a game you wouldn’t spend too much time on . But as you move up the levels the game becomes interesting. The different vehicles become more intimidating. There also some obstacles introduced in the later levels that make getting across the streets a bit more difficult. 

Bonus levels

The bonus levels make the game more interesting as they come with a timer. The task is to cross the streets and survive as many times as you can. The more times you make it the further up the levels you go . The bonus levels seem to appear after every five levels. Well, it would be more fun if the bonus appeared more often than the ads.

A game you’d let your child play

If you are a person with kids that like to play with your phone, then this is one of those games you wouldn’t mind your kids playing. This free game falls under a content rating of 3+.

A bit of frustration

The game is fun, but has some disappointing areas. It’s a free game so that means it comes with ads. But, the good thing is you can download it and play while offline. It means you won’t get notifications for new messages from your instant messaging apps, but it’s worth it when you’re taking a break. There is no menu to make changes when you want to and you’d have to close it and restart to say switch to a different skin. So far there is no way to pay to remove ads.

Is there a better alternative?

When thinking of crazy road adventures the first game that comes to mind is the legendary Crazy Taxi series. Crash Bandicoot is another classic that speeds up the adrenaline in dodging crazy traffic and making it safe.  These games have been available for so long they will always be reference points to anyone looking to enjoy themselves. 

One reason why these games are interesting alternatives is  because they are simple to play and don’t require any special skills. The games are also fun to play for everyone regardless of age. The bottom line is, the decision on whether the two games serve as a good alternative will depend on a player’s preference.

Where can you run this program?

The game is compatible with phones running on the Android operating system. As long as you have android 4.1 and up, you good to go. You can also play it on iOs devices. At the time of writing this review, collect cubes is only available for mobile devices including smartphones and tablets. There is not an available version for the desktop yet.

Our take

Traffic Run is a simple game and easy to play game. It doesn’t involve a lot of challenges making it good to play as a relaxing game. Apart from the bonus level, there is no time limit to dash through the roads. So, you can take your time in each level and not feel hurried as there is no losing in this game. Nicely designed and it’s a satisfying game, especially for people who enjoy games with a touch of adrenaline.

Should you download it?

If you are looking for a game that you can play at your own pace, this is a good download. It’s also a good option if you are not an expert game player, or you’re looking for something that doesn’t require much brain work. it's solid enterntainment option if you love simple games that are not complicated, the kind that you don’t need a tutorial to learn how to play.
