Family Historian is a powerful, fully-featured genealogy program, with an innovative visually-oriented user interface. Diagrams, which include Family Historian's unique 'All Relatives' diagram and an 'Everyone' diagram, are tightly integrated and used for browsing, exploring and even data-entry (you can click-and-drag to add relatives if you wish), as well as for creating superb wall charts. Each diagram branch has a button that you can click to expand or hide the branch. All diagrams are fully configurable and can be printed at any scale or orientation, and most options can be changed on-the-fly. Family Historian has excellent support for sources, and for pictures. Not only can you have an unlimited number of pictures (and other multimedia, such as sounds and videos) for each individual, but each picture can be linked to all the people in it. You can even link each individual to their own face in each picture, and re-use these faces in charts, reports, websites and family tree CDs, without having to 'crop' your pictures. Powerful wizards make it easy to create websites or family tree CDs. The program comes with 28 standard reports, all with extensive configuration options, but you can also design your own. Other features include a powerful query engine, 100% GEDCOM completeness and compatibility, and an unrivalled merge/compare facility which lets you do entire-file comparisons and merges.
