This is a descendant of the Irish game Spoil Five. Partnerships try to win tricks and prevent their opponents from doing so. It is a trick-taking game with trumps and bidding. A regular deck of 52 cards is used with the highest trump being five, the second is the jack, and the third is the ace of Hearts, no matter what suit is trump. For black suits, the cards from 2 to 10 rank in reverse of normal order.
